Welcome Soon to Santa Fe Substack!

The Plaza, Downtown Santa Fe

“Land of Enchantment”. Santa Fe, New Mexico! My NEW HOME - having finally escaped the LA desert after 40 years! Something like my fellow Tribesmen escaping Pharoah’s Egypt and wandering the Sinai Desert for 40 years before discovering “The Promised Land” - but without Moses, The Red Sea, or the Bedouins!

Bandelier National Monument

Who am I to write about Santa Fe, after living here just 6 months? Well, I’m the newbie, the man with the fresh eyes and the hunger to learn and experience. Everything Santa Fe has to offer - from its 7200-foot rare-air elevation to its spectacular red-rocked national monuments. From its 15-degree frigid winter blue sky mornings with new fleece pants and a down jacket to its definitive and delectable multi-restaurant culinary Heaven. From its snow-capped Sangre de Cristo Mountains to its Club Legato, the chandelier and kiva ceiling NY-style jazz club right off the plaza. From its botanical gardens and art museums to its desert-cliffed Native American pueblo-styled reservations. Overall, a rip-roaring Western town with a history and culture all its own. Wow!
